This finishing detail that is commonly skipped by many, creates the strength to withstand winds and waves from hurricanes, the weight of tile roofs and the weight of wakeboard boats that are now weighing upwards of 7,000 pounds. We don’t use nails; we use screws as this gives a stronger hold. We make sure that every load bearing beam is bolted for a structure built to last.

Message from the Owner- Welcome to Willers Custom Builders! We are a family owned and operated business who ensures quality is of upmost importance for any job that we take on. Since 1998 in Cambridge, New Zealand, I gained experience working for my father’s company. We had gained a reputation where we were well known for building luxury new homes with exotic landscapes, decks, pergolas and renovations on the edges of Lake Karapiro, NZ. After establishing residency in the United States through professional water skiing, I found myself building new or repairing old docks throughout Florida on the side. Word of mouth started high demand, and in 2014, we officially decided to start up Willers Custom Builders stateside. Choosing the right dock and/or carpentry builder is important. We stick by our motto that we are “building dreams on the lake.” Those dreams should last a lifetime rather than have issues right off the bat. I had a custom deck/pergola I wanted to build at my cabin in Chuluota. This cabin, although only 1000 square feet, has all the highest finishes imaginable (barn wood floors from NC, stainless counter tops, whitewashed tongue-and-groove walls and ceiling, Anderson windows and Pella doors...) and I wanted a deck to match. Aidan and his team enhanced my design and gave me a truly remarkable end product. Made of cypress posts and Azeck decking, it is not only solid but beautiful. The pergola in particular consists of some extraordinary beams that I could not envision how they would be hoisted and assembled. No problem for Willers. The only knock on Aidan is that I think he is underpriced. His work is impeccable, a perfectionist if ever there was. I am actually hesitant to put use to it is such a piece of art. But my bourbon, cigars and kettle fires would have no better place to assemble. John

QUALITY WORK! We moved into our lake house in June of 2017 and received several dock builder recommendations from neighbors and friends. Aidan had completed our neighbor's dock recently so we were able to see first hand his quality. Although Aidan was not the most inexpensive quote we received, the quality of the dock and his construction methodology far surpassed any of the other dock builders. We decided spending more money to get it done right would save us in the end. Aidan met with us and provided a recommendation that met our needs, helped us through the county approval process and gave clear direction and details on the timeline and cost. Aidan works with a small crew and did a lot of the work himself. The dock turned out beautifully- nice finishes and quality work - and in the timeframe that he communicated.
